The Route
Summit Rocks via the Linda Glacier
Whilst not highly technical the typical route via the Linda Glacier is threatened by large crevasse fields and seracs. Once past the Linda we need to cross the Linda shelf and then the summit rocks before gaining the final ridge to the Summit.
Other route options are available with increasing technical difficulty.
Grading – Mt Cook 3+
Please bear in mind that the grade is not just a measure of technical difficulty. It also includes objective hazard, access, and route length. With a grade of 3+ you could expect it to take upto 22 hours to climb
