Resting at Pangboche

21 Oct

Just a very short update.

Whilst the walking for the last 3 days has been fairly easy – the team have been putting in long long days. Not only are the teams legs feeling iut but we are all quite smelly! We are currently sitting in a tea house in Pangboche where we will have a full rest day tomoro, clean our cloths and get all the equipment transported up to Ama Dablam and set up basecamp.

There may still be upto 1/2 m of snow at basecamp and considerably more higher up. There are a number of other teams already up in basecamp with a trail now forged through to camp 1.

However the teams objectives for the next 2-3 days will be to simply get ourselves set and ready for our major objective. It almost seems like a totally new trip since we arrived back in Lukla a few days ago. We got our first view of AD this morning as we left Namche. The crew are all pretty excited.

More after we get to Basecamp.
