As most of the climbing and expedition community now know all climbing permits have been cancelled for the Spring Climbing season in Nepal as well as travel restrictions and Entry visa restrictions for all non nationals arriving into Nepal
Whilst this seems a bit dramatic in light of the rest of the worlds reaction to COVID-19 and looking at Nepal’s ability to cope with a serious outbreak and the potential resulting heath issues it does seem like a very prudent and sensible step to take.
Currently plans for the Post Monsoon Season are still in play but we will wait and watch how things develop.
